Apprentice Water Well Permit
Authorizes the water well apprenticeship under a responsible non-restricted water well permit holder. The ordinary apprenticeship period is two years, subject to reduction or extension under the rule. This survey covers the water well permit type; 10 CSR 23-1.090 distinguishes monitoring well, test hole, closed-loop heat pump and pump permits. Probation is a disciplinary condition on a permit, not a separate initial permit type.

Restricted Water Well Permit
Authorizes contracting or subcontracting regulated water well work and acting as primary contractor or on-site drilling supervisor; field work requiring a non-restricted permit is governed by 10 CSR 23-1.090(1). This survey covers the water well permit type; 10 CSR 23-1.090 distinguishes monitoring well, test hole, closed-loop heat pump and pump permits. Probation is a disciplinary condition on a permit, not a separate initial permit type.
