Each license and applicant pathway has its own requirements and exemptions. Choosing practice questions does not determine your eligibility.

Certification of the ability to interpret SysML models and contribute to a systems development team using model-based systems engineering.

Initial by examination

Accommodations: Contact certification@omg.org for learning or physical disability examination accommodations.
Award: Pass the SysML Model User examination to earn the independently issued SysML Model User credential and receive digital credentials/certificate.
Cancellation: Cancellation more than 24 hours before the scheduled examination through Pearson VUE gives a full refund; otherwise the examination price is forfeited.
Eligibility: The Model User sheet explicitly states no prerequisites. Model User is itself prerequisite to the remaining SysML Model Builder exams, which are outside this task.
Holder Validity: The current adopted sheet states certification expires three years after the examination date, extendable by the same or a higher level examination; this is not an exam-version retirement date.
Language: Only the English examination is submitted; translation apps are prohibited.
Preparation: OMG Accredited Training is optional; self preparation is allowed.
Registration: Create/sign into a Pearson VUE account, schedule and pay; appointments must be made at least one business day in advance. Take at a secure test center or online after a system test; actual appointment seats are subject to scheduling availability.

Provider: Pearson VUE
Format: English-language multiple choice (text and images)
Time limit: 90 minutes in native English-speaking countries; 120 minutes in all others, with extra time confirmed by email following exam order completion.
Passing score: >=56/90 correct answers or >=62% correct answers
Exam fee: US$350 plus taxes (regional currency equivalent and taxes).
