SAS Certified Platform Administrator for SAS®9

Certification demonstrating skills and knowledge for administration of the platform for SAS Business Analytics.

Licensing authority: SAS Institute Inc.

Initial by examination
Applicability
Current public A00-250 page expressly specifies SAS 9.4 Maintenance 8 and adopts the linked content guide; no future-effective or retirement notice for this examination appears in the obtained controlling materials. Official start/end dates are not published in these materials and remain null; checkedAt is not an effective date.
Evidence Claim Ids
["sas250-registration","sas250-authority","sas250-route","sas250-identity"]
Qualification
Pass A00-250 with 66 percent correct; comply with the SAS certification Candidate Agreement and corresponding trademark guidelines. The exam is designed for candidates with administration skills and knowledge for the SAS Business Analytics platform; training is preparation, not an additional exam leaf.
Retakes
At most five attempts in 12 months, with at least 14 days between attempts; normally each attempt incurs a charge. No further attempts after passing for this initial qualification route. The currently active SAS/Pearson Global Retake offer is a fee exception: eligible individuals aged 18 or older who opt in, register, enter the emailed promotional code, pay full price and take their first eligible exam during the advertised September 29–November 17, 2026 offer period may receive a zero-price second attempt of the same exam after failure. The detailed terms require the initial attempt to be completed prior to November 17, 2026, and the free retake to be taken January 4–April 7, 2027. One free retake per participating exam program; all ordinary rescheduling and retake policies still apply. SAS participates, with candidates in China, India and Taiwan excluded; the United States is not excluded and no A00-250 exclusion is stated. The offer cannot be combined with other offers or promotions, does not cover terminated or revoked sessions, is non-transferable, may not be resold, is void where prohibited and becomes invalid if its terms are violated. Pearson may modify or cancel the offer. These promotional dates limit the fee exception, not the examination or route validity dates.
Scheduling
Create or use a SAS Certification Manager account to schedule or modify an appointment; use exam ID A00-250. Appointment availability is handled by the portal, not a fixed annual examination window. Standard price is USD 180; payments are made to Pearson at registration. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance or forfeit the full fee; a no-show also forfeits the full fee.
