- Extension
- Wisconsin Act 210 extends the credential to 180 days after discharge; further extension or continuing-education hardship relief may be requested on Form R210.
Official no-examination sources
Effective from 2026-09-22.
- Wisconsin license
Renewal Information: Wisconsin Act 210 extension

Renewal Information: Act 210 repeal
Licensure by endorsement: nonresident broker experience
- Application
- Submit the verified application and prescribed fees; provide nonresident irrevocable consent under Wis. Stat. § 452.11 when applicable.
- Criminal history
- Disclose convictions and pending charges; individual felony eligibility is governed by Wis. Stat. § 452.25, including the three-year post-confinement suitability determination and statutory exceptions.
- Education
- REEB 25.028: an active broker license in another licensing jurisdiction within two years permits the six-hour Wisconsin broker and thirteen-hour Wisconsin salesperson education equivalency; otherwise satisfy the ordinary education requirements.
- Experience
- Nonresident applicant: at least two years as a licensed broker under another jurisdiction’s law within four years before application (REEB 12.017(3)(d)).
- License verification
- Arrange official verification under DSPS Form 2688, including license type, issue and expiration dates, status, and discipline; verification must come through the licensing authority’s third-party submission.
- Minimum age
- At least 18 years old under REEB 12.01(7).
- Oral accommodation
- Wis. Stat. § 452.09(3)(b) directs an oral examination for an applicant unable to write because of a physical handicap; this is an accommodation of the licensing examination, not evidence of an independently registered examination.
- Salesperson examination
- Wis. Stat. § 452.09(3)(d) also requires passage of the Wisconsin salesperson examination. This is another profession’s examination and is recorded as a condition under this survey contract. DSPS Exam Information states: "If you hold an active salesperson's license or have already taken and passed the examination for salespersons, you do not have to take the exam again."
- Score age
- Submit the application and documentation before examination scores are one year old (Pearson June 2026 handbook, p. 4).
Licensure by endorsement: Board waiver for equivalent experience
- Application
- Submit the verified application and prescribed fees; provide nonresident irrevocable consent under Wis. Stat. § 452.11 when applicable.
- Criminal history
- Disclose convictions and pending charges; individual felony eligibility is governed by Wis. Stat. § 452.25, including the three-year post-confinement suitability determination and statutory exceptions.
- Education
- Applicants who have never held an out-of-jurisdiction broker license must meet ordinary broker/salesperson education or the 20-credit alternative; the six-hour/thirteen-hour equivalency requires an active broker license within two years.
- Experience waiver
- REEB 12.017(5), effective March 1, 2026: the Board may waive experience requirements when licensed salesperson or broker experience outside Wisconsin is equivalent to an option in REEB 12.017(3)(a)–(d). Submit the experience; waiver is subject to Board review, not an examination waiver.
- License verification
- Provide official verification of the out-of-jurisdiction license through the licensing authority, not an applicant-uploaded verification.
- Minimum age
- At least 18 years old under REEB 12.01(7).
- Oral accommodation

- Salesperson examination
- Wis. Stat. § 452.09(3)(d) also requires passage of the Wisconsin salesperson examination. This is another profession’s examination and is recorded as a condition under this survey contract.
