Application
For instructor-led candidates, apply within 12 months of course completion; for self-study/eLearning, within 12 months of purchase. Reopening after closure requires a written request and fee, with no guarantee of the former conditions. Certification Department verifies all credential requirements before award.
Audit Experience
A total of 300 hours of audit activities meeting the scheme's audit-experience criteria; audit logs are checked.
Booking
English online sessions are chosen through myPECB by category/language/date, subject to published availability and seats. If the training event is not marked complete, contact support. Partner-organized paper sessions are the same examination and are outside the selected online delivery target, not another production examination.
Ethics
Sign the PECB Code of Ethics.
Examination
Pass the named PECB Lead Auditor examination, or an equivalent examination accepted by PECB following its equivalence evaluation; this is the direct PECB-examination route and does not purport to enumerate independently approved external examinations.
Professional Experience
Five years of professional experience, including two years in business continuity management.
References
Provide two professional references who can validate relevant expertise; relatives and persons under the applicant's supervision are excluded.
Sitting
Arrive at least 30 minutes early with valid identity documentation; online invigilation and technical requirements apply. The requested appointment horizon is conditional, not a reservation.
Training
Training is optional for this Lead Auditor examination. Course prerequisites describe training participation, not an additional mandatory examination. Direct scheduling without training is permitted, excludes official course-material access, and includes one exam attempt with separate retake and certification fees. Partner-provided instructor-led, eLearning and self-study packages include the first attempt, one retake, application fee and first annual maintenance fee subject to the 12-month cycle.
