Licensing authority: PECB Group Pte. Ltd.
Initial by examination
- Application
- Submit the certification application through a member account. PECB Certification Department approval is required; passing the examination alone is insufficient.
- Appointment
- Online language/date/seat selection is required; requested future dates are conditional on published sessions and availability. Paper sessions require partner arrangements. No session was booked.
- Audit Experience
- Audit activities totaling 300 hours, checked through the candidate's audit experience, following the valid activities listed on handbook p. 16.
- Equivalence
- The named leaf describes the PECB-exam route; the handbook's open accepted-equivalent condition is preserved and does not assert that every applicant must sit the PECB exam again.
- Ethics
- Signing the PECB Code of Ethics.
- Examination
- Pass the PECB ISO 14001 Lead Auditor examination; a successfully passed equivalent from another recognized accredited certification body may be accepted by PECB through its individual equivalence process. No named additional or prerequisite examination is published for this route.
- Independent Registration
- Direct registration without training includes one examination attempt, excludes official course materials, and incurs a separate certification fee. A retake requires another examination fee.
- Maintenance
- The certification is valid for three years, with applicable CPD and annual maintenance fee obligations; this individual certificate period is not the exam version's expiry.
- Professional Experience
- Five years of professional experience, including two years of work experience in environmental management.
- References
- Two professional references who have worked with the applicant, excluding relatives and persons under the applicant's supervision.
- Training
- No particular training course or curriculum is mandatory for certification. Prior understanding of environmental concepts, ISO 14001 and audit principles is recommended to benefit from the course.
- Training Package Window
- For instructor-led partner training, the included exam, retake, certification application and first AMF cycle must be completed within 12 months of course completion; for self-study/eLearning, within 12 months of purchase.
