Palo Alto Networks Certified SD-WAN Engineer
A Specialist-level vendor certification in Network Security validating engineering knowledge and skills across the Prisma SD-WAN lifecycle.
Licensing authority: Palo Alto Networks · Application information
Initial by examination
- Award
- Achieve a valid passing score; results remain provisional until the review and data-forensics process completes. The certificate and badge are available through Credly.
- Candidate Rules
- Agree to the Candidate Agreement and test-center rules. Candidates under 18 require parent/guardian ID and recording consent and their own government or student ID. Arrange accommodations through Palo Alto Networks Credentialing Support; ID exceptions require Pearson preapproval at least three business days before the exam. Cancellation or rescheduling requires 48 hours' notice to avoid forfeiture.
- Credential Validity
- Certification is valid for two years from passing; this personal award period is not the examination version's validThrough. Renewal policies are outside the initial-examination route.
- Preparation
- The official target audience is experienced SD-WAN/SASE and network engineers; required skills are retained in the scope evidence. Digital learning and Prisma SD-WAN: Design and Operation are recommended preparation, not additional examination leaves or a mandatory school-arranged route.
- Registration
- Use a Pearson account with the legal name on government-issued ID and a business email; select this exam, an in-person test center and an available appointment. Advance or same-day scheduling is subject to seat availability; no particular future seat is guaranteed for 2026-11-25 through 2027-02-28.
- Retakes
- After failures, waiting periods are 15 days, then 30 days, then 90 days for subsequent attempts. After passing, the same-certification exam cannot be retaken for 18 months (545 days).
