Audience
The intended candidate has approximately 1+ years of holistic IT infrastructure experience and equivalent Nutanix experience; the guide describes successful candidates rather than prescribing a mandatory prior credential.
Award
Passing the NCP-MCI 7.5 exam results in the NCP-MCI 7 certification.
Certification Validity
The earned NCP-MCI 7 certification remains valid for three years; this personal certification duration does not set the exam's validThrough.
Delivery
Remote proctoring after registration and valid identification, or in-person at select test centers with government-issued ID and arrival 15 minutes before the start; identity must be validated before testing.
Institutional Arrangement
The optional one-day NCP-MCI Exam Prep workshop includes taking the same NCP-MCI exam in its final portion; it is not a separate examination or mandatory school route.
Language
English only in this task; Japanese availability does not create another submitted exam or version.
Pathway Boundary
Initial certification only. The guide's later recertification choices are not additional examinations in this initial dependency set.
Retakes
After first failure, two additional paid attempts are allowed, with seven days between attempts; after three attempts, wait 60 days and request an attempt reset from university@nutanix.com.
Scheduling
Schedule through My Certifications on Nutanix University. Appointments are subject to available times and locations; no individual date or seat during the requested horizon has been reserved or guaranteed. The July 10, 2026 promotional offer has expired.
Training
Course attendance is not required. ECA, NQVP and NCP-MCI Exam Prep are recommended preparation choices, not extra exam prerequisites or awards.
