Notary Public

A five-year commission issued by the State Treasurer. Initial commissioning, attorney-exempt commissioning, renewal and application after lapse use this same credential. Remote and electronic notarization require notification of the technologies to be used on an existing commission; a name change is a filing evidencing continuance of that commission.
