Discretionary reinstatement after revocation or nonrenewal

All of the following:

Competence
Show the Board that practice can resume with reasonable skill and safety.
Examination Discretion
The current state testing bulletin provides registration for reinstating lapsed licenses and identifies nail theory and practical exams. The Board decides whether retesting and which previously passed results are needed for the individual reinstatement; retaining these examinations does not assert that every applicant must retake both.
Other Conditions
Satisfy the Board restoration conditions, forms, fees, and any applicable disciplinary orders.
Prior Status
Nail professional license was revoked or not renewed; apply for discretionary reinstatement under section 30-1-8a rather than the ordinary annual-renewal procedure.
Reactivation from inactive status
No examination is required for this applicant pathway.
Application
Apply to the Board for reinstatement.
Continuing Education
3CSR11 section 6.1.b still specifies the rule continuing-education requirements for reinstatement; the current Board notice separately removes continuing education for active renewal. Seek the Board determination of the reinstatement education requirement and any applicable exemptions or waivers.
Fees
Pay the applicable reinstatement fee. No examination is included in the current 3CSR11 section 6.1 checklist.
Prior Status
Existing nail professional license is inactive.

Annual renewal, including late annual renewal
No examination is required for this applicant pathway.
Continuing Education
The Board states active nail technicians no longer need continuing education for renewal, effective May 8, 2022.
Deadline
Renew annually on or before January 1 with the prescribed form, renewal fee, and other Board-requested information.
Eligibility
The Board may deny renewal for any ground that would justify denial of an original license.
Evidence Confirmation
The continuing-education fetch was marked thin; its file contains the actual short, dated substantive notice and was read. The empty Renewals page is not used as evidence.
Late Renewal
The Board charges late fees. Its FAQ provides a January grace period and adds monthly late fees beginning February 1.

Fees

Other License

State Law Discretion
Section 30-1-27(d) permits a board that administers a state-law examination to require it. This permission does not itself identify an examination for nail applicants. The current nail initial and reciprocity applications and implementing exam bulletin do not assign a law examination to this route.
