Limited-period authorization under K.S.A. 48-3406(i) where the prior credential or experience does not authorize similar scope.
Licensing authority: State Board of Technical Professions
Resident temporary permit issuance
- Board Decision
- The Board may issue the limited-period permit unless public health and safety would be jeopardized.
- Eligibility
- Qualify under subsection (c)(2), (e) or (f), and the Board finds the scope not similar. Applicant is not a military servicemember or military spouse.
- Unfinished Requirements
- The permit allows practice while completing specific Kansas requirements absent from the original jurisdiction; subsection (j) limits testing to materially different Kansas law, knowledge or skills. Those unspecified requirements are conditions, not examination identities.
