Accounts And Scheduling
Use an HPE profile and the HPE credential management platform, selecting the eligible HPE7-A02 examination and reserving through Pearson VUE. Current platform and Pearson instructions supersede the older generic datasheet's separate Learner-ID/Pearson-account instructions for examination scheduling. Learner ID remains required for applicable HPE Learning Partner instructor-led training, not to sit the exam.
Applicant
Candidates new to this certification; no prerequisite certification is required.
Assessment Boundary
One question-based HPE7-A02 examination; no separate practical or Expert written examination is required by this initial professional path.
Certification Registration
The certification datasheet instructs registration for the certification in The Learning Center to expose progress in learner transcripts; examination appointments now use the current credential management platform.
Delivery
Proctored examination in English, at a Pearson test center or OnVUE by appointment and available seat; no login, purchase, personal-data entry or future seat reservation was performed during research.
Experience
Typical candidates have two to three years of networking experience with a one-year security focus; the official requirements section states no prerequisites.
Scope
Initial certification only. Recertification alternatives in the datasheet are not applied to new candidates.
Training
Implementing Network Security, Rev. 24.41 (course 0001210365), ILT or VILT, is recommended training. The preparation guide also advises completing training and the preassessment; these recommendations are not additional mandatory examinations or a required course admission gate.
