Delivery
Proctored written exam at a Pearson testing center or via OnVUE (home/office); no reference material. Official sources do not guarantee a particular future seat or appointment date. No extra institutional assessment is established for this exam.
Prerequisites
The initial path states there are no prerequisites. Six months of experience describes the typical candidate; technician certification and training are advice/recommended preparation, not additional mandatory examination leaves.

Use an HPE profile and the HPE credential management platform; select an Eligible Exam and finalize the Pearson VUE reservation. A confirmed appointment is required; current guidance removes the old separate Pearson credentials and HPE Learner ID requirement for examination scheduling and taking. The older certification PDF account instructions are superseded for this stage by current HPE and Pearson platform instructions.
