HPE Aruba Networking Certified Associate - Network Security

HPE associate-level Network Security certification validating foundational security knowledge.

Licensing authority: Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Initial by examination
Boundary
The certification page's separate recertification alternatives and other expert/practical examinations are not initial-route requirements and are outside this task. This vendor certification is not represented as state licensure.
Delivery
English written, proctored, single-response and multiple-response multiple-choice exam at a Pearson test center or through OnVUE; online remote proctoring is unavailable in China, Iraq, North Korea and Syria. Reservation and candidate-agreement acceptance are necessary. No reference material is permitted. Specific future dates and seats are determined by official scheduling, not guaranteed by this overview.
Population
Candidates new to this certification; initial acquisition only.
Prerequisites
The official initial path has no prerequisites. Typical six-to-twelve-month wired/wireless networking experience describes the ideal candidate, not a mandatory prerequisite credential.
Registration
Use an HPE profile and https://cp.certmetrics.com/hpe. Select HPE6-A78 under Eligible Exams or follow its official Register for this Exam link, then complete the Pearson VUE reservation. A Learner ID is required only for instructor-led training, not for exam scheduling or taking the exam; current explicit platform migration instructions supersede the older certification-PDF account boilerplate.
Training
Network Security Fundamentals, Rev. 24.41 is recommended training; successful training completion alone does not ensure passing the exam. It is not an additional required exam or award.
Validity
The current adopted content update went live October 15, 2024 and retains HPE6-A78. No announced exam retirement was found in the current official examination catalogue, data card, guide or applicable release notes. validThrough is null, not an inferred extension of any known deadline. No successor or other language version is included.
