Pursuant to NRS 644A.525 , licenses expired for 4 or more years cannot be renewed and will be refunded. ______________________________________________________________________________
- Board retesting instruction
- The October 2024 handbook, page 2, says an applicant expired over four years without a current license elsewhere must be scheduled to retake practical, theory and law exams. This lower-ranked implementation demand is preserved as a condition; NRS 644A.525(1) defines expired-license renewal without specifying examinations.
- Continuing education
- Complete the instructor continuing-education hours required by NRS 644A.420 and NAC 644A.260, as amended by R021-26 filed April 29, 2026: not less than 30 hours during each two-year license period. Document attendance, completion date and hours, and submit the certificates for Board approval before the renewal application.
- Expired license
- The license has expired; this is renewal after expiration under NRS 644A.525(1), distinct from retirement restoration under subsection (3).
