Initial by examination
Applicability
The current English certification catalog links the named exam guide; its release alignment is Spring '23, with no published start/end dates. This is initial certification only; maintenance is outside this route.
Booking
Log in to Trailhead Academy; select the examination, delivery mode and an available date/time or local venue/time slot; complete checkout. This is appointment scheduling, not a fixed application window.
Conduct
Accept the Salesforce Certification Program Agreement and Code of Conduct at the beginning of the exam.
Identity
The ID name must match the booking exactly. Online-proctored testing requires a valid government-issued photo ID with a recent recognizable photo. Follow Salesforce-specific prohibitions on expired, digital, copied, paper-based or legally restricted IDs, including DoD/CAC/secure-access IDs; generic Pearson examples do not independently authorize a Salesforce-prohibited ID. For a testing center, the linked Global ID Policy 1S calls for one primary and one secondary ID, with its stated name, photo/signature, originality, issuing-country and Roman-character conditions. The policy also contains renewal-paperwork allowances; no exception to Salesforce's specific prohibition is asserted here without sponsor approval. Any ID-policy exception requires sponsor pre-approval at least five business days before the appointment.
