Prerequisites
No additional named exam prerequisite is stated by the current TPRM catalogue or blueprint. KB0013315 binds CIS-DF to seven named ITAM/ITOM/ITSM/SecOps certifications rather than this TPRM credential; no CIS-DF dependency is extrapolated.
Registration
Registration is payment, with Learning Credits or credit card accepted. ILT completion includes one free attempt; company discounts may apply. Registration and payment secure an attempt, not a guarantee of any particular appointment seat.
Reschedule
Current Pearson FAQ: no cancellations or refunds; free rescheduling at least 48 hours before a test-center exam, or up to the OnVUE scheduled start time, within the unchanged 90-day window.
Retake
Current Pearson FAQ: a CIS retake costs $225 before applicable discounts; wait 3 days between attempts 1 and 2, 30 days between 2 and 3, and 6 months for subsequent attempts. For a retake with a waiting period the 90-day scheduling window starts when that waiting period ends.
Schedule
Schedule and complete the examination within 90 days of registration; rescheduling does not extend the deadline. Expiry requires registration and payment again. For the amount on expiry, the specific blueprint says full exam fee and the catalogue Step 4 says retake exam fee; the current Pearson FAQ distinguishes an expired initial attempt (full fee) from an expired retake (retake fee). The catalogue has not made that distinction explicit, so no uniform expiry fee amount is asserted.
Training
Course completion is not required but highly recommended; the current catalogue recommends the Implementer Third-party Risk Management Credential Path.
