Each license and applicant pathway has its own requirements and exemptions. Choosing practice questions does not determine your eligibility.

BCS Foundation Certificate in IS Project Management

Licensing authority: BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT

Initial by examination
Accommodations
V9 allows a 25% time extension for a non-native/non-official examination language and a paper translation dictionary, not an electronic dictionary. Disability adjustments are by request under the BCS Reasonable Adjustments Policy; no automatic adjustment entitlement beyond the cited syllabus is inferred. OnVUE generally prohibits physical writing materials and directs candidates to programme allowances/accommodation requests; confirm any dictionary accommodation before selecting that delivery mode.
Assessment
Pass the one supervised closed-book multiple-choice examination at 26/40 (65%); calculators cannot be used. Trainer-criteria qualifications do not apply to candidates.
Award
BCS emails candidates after the exam and successful candidates access their e-certificate in the BCS candidate portal; Pearson does not distribute certificates.
Booking
Create a Pearson VUE account or use an existing one to schedule; enter an accurate individual email for the BCS certificate portal. The owner offers worldwide Pearson test centres; the BCS delivery programme also offers OnVUE. Appointment availability is not guaranteed by these public pages, and no seat/account/payment was requested or created.
Cost
The owner quotes a UK exam price of £192, while international prices vary by region; no US price is inferred. Training-provider prices vary.
Language And Applicability
This task selects only the current English V9 syllabus/examination. November 2025 is its publication label, not an evidenced day of commencement. The owner still links it as the latest syllabus at evaluation. V8 retired 2026-10-23 and is not selected. No V9 cessation date was found in the current applicable owner material; no claim is made that appointments are perpetual or available for a specific candidate on a requested date.
Online Delivery
OnVUE requires its system test on the same device/network, supported Windows 10/macOS 14 or higher, webcam/microphone/speaker, one display, stable 6 Mbps down/2 Mbps up internet, a private clear testing space, name-matching valid government photo ID and check-in 30 minutes before the appointment. Minors require a parent/guardian at check-in. Follow the current linked BCS OnVUE programme's full technology, ID, space and conduct rules; exam-specific allowances control exceptions.
Preparation
Either recommended accredited training plus the examination or examination-only self-study; these lead to the same award and examination, not different allOf requirements. No prerequisites; basic working IT knowledge is expected. A course normally lasts three days; the syllabus specifies 18 hours of lecture/practical work, which is preparation, not a separately scored assessment.
