Licenses, application pathways and examination requirements
Each license and applicant pathway has its own requirements and exemptions. Choosing practice questions does not determine your eligibility.
Autodesk Fusion Certified User
An Autodesk Certified User program credential validating foundational design and product-development skills in Autodesk Fusion.
Licensing authority: Autodesk
Initial by examination
- Availability
- No particular future seat or daily home availability is guaranteed; the current active en-us listing and applicable announcements were checked, and no explicit dated Fusion SR retirement was found.
- Candidate Policies
- At-centre identification must bear photograph and signature; under-18 candidates must provide signed parental consent; accept the NDA and other presented terms. Additional administrative seat time is required.
- Credential Holder Validity
- Current ACU certifications have a five-year holder expiration period under Certiport policy; this does not establish an examination-version validThrough date.
- Examination
- Pass the current English proctored Autodesk Certified User: Fusion examination with identity verification at a Certiport Authorized Testing Center; no additional named examination or separately scored practical/writing component is stated in the adopted criteria.
- Expected Skills
- ["Basic computer skills and digital literacy","Industry standard terminology","General technical drawing and design concepts","Accessing reference materials including Fusion help screens"]
- Experience
- Acquire real-world experience with Autodesk Fusion. The objectives describe an intended candidate with approximately 150 hours; they do not establish a fixed mandatory training-hour threshold.
- Registration
- Use a Certiport candidate account and an authorized centre's scheduled session/payment arrangement. Compass Cloud: In-Center requires an access code and the proctor's unlock; it is in-person, not a home service. Check the centre or school for exact examination, scheduling policies, fees and seats; remote store proctoring is offered through select US centres for ages 18 and over.
- Training
- Complete an Autodesk Fusion training course OR self-study training.
Autodesk Certified User: Fusion
- Provider
- Certiport, Autodesk's testing partner
- Format
- English (en-us); Selected Response (non-LITA), assessing knowledge of Fusion operations and workflows rather than a separately scored hands-on component.
- Exam questions
- Total questions: 35–40.
- Time limit
- 50 minutes timed examination; additional administrative seat time is required.
- Passing score
- Passing is equated to 700 on Certiport's 1-to-1000 reporting scale; this is not a claim of 70 percent correct.
