Each license and applicant pathway has its own requirements and exemptions. Choosing practice questions does not determine your eligibility.

Autodesk Certified User: Maya

An Autodesk-authorized, Certiport-issued entry-level certification of foundational Maya software and 3D animation skills.

Licensing authority: Certiport, a Pearson VUE business

Initial by examination
Availability
Current active catalogue and retirement notice were checked against the 2027-01-28 minimum horizon and the stricter no-retirement-before-2027-03-01 boundary. No retirement date for the selected offering is published in those sources; no future appointment or permanent availability is promised.
Award Criteria
Complete an Autodesk Maya training course OR self-study training; acquire real-world Maya experience; pass the proctored Maya examination with identity verification through a Certiport Authorized Testing Center. The course/self-study alternative is preserved; no additional named examination prerequisite is asserted.
Candidate Policies
Photo-and-signature identification at the testing center; signed parental consent for candidates under 18; accept the NDA and other presented conditions; obey proctor/security/retake policies. Remote candidates must meet the guide's current technical and identity/environment requirements. Plan administrative seat time beyond the 50-minute exam.
Preparation
The current objectives describe approximately 150 hours of instruction and hands-on experience and expect basic computer skills, navigation of the interface/workspaces, 3D perspectives and Maya Help-system understanding. These are the published candidate profile and expectations, not an invented mandatory class-hour threshold.
Registration
Arrange the session with a CATC, school or its Exam Administrator (Proctor). A working Certiport username/password is needed; the proctor schedules a remote session and verifies identity and environment. Remote catalogue availability is not a guarantee of a seat on any requested date. Use the selected English offering and its supported software environment.
