Licensing authority: Autodesk · Application information

Initial by examination
Accommodations
Request accommodations during application; approved arrangements are passed to Pearson for scheduling. English as a second language may receive approved extra time.
Application
Complete the candidate application, accept the current Candidate Agreement and program policies, and pass the associated examination; use an Autodesk Account for application, scheduling and payment.
Appointment And Voucher
Payment is required at scheduling; a voucher is optional and its own expiry must be honored. Cancel/reschedule at least 24 hours before the appointment to avoid forfeiture. Future dates require actual available seats; current public materials do not guarantee every day in the requested horizon.
Credential Term
The current individual certification page specifies a three-year certification term and retesting for renewal; this does not establish an examination-version retirement date.
Delivery
One English examination, taken at a Pearson testing center or remotely through OnVUE by appointment, subject to seat availability. No separate practical, writing or User-level prerequisite examination is identified in the current program materials.

Experience
Official target-audience guidance describes typically at least two years of regular Revit use, approximately 400 hours minimum to 1,200 recommended; this is not converted into a separately certified prerequisite or mandatory training course.
Identity And Age
ID verification and proctoring apply. The minimum-age requirements linked from page 1 of the Autodesk Certification Candidate Agreement require age 13 for US residents; residents of China or South Korea must be at least 14. Some Autodesk websites, products and services may include additional terms with different or additional age requirements that apply only to that specific website, product or service. A parent or guardian must agree for a candidate below the applicable age of majority. For OnVUE, candidates under 18 need their own valid ID and a parent or guardian at check-in to provide ID and consent.
Onvue
Run and pass the system test on the same device/network; Windows 10 or macOS 14 or higher, webcam/microphone/speaker, one display, at least 6 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up, and other applications closed. Prohibited technology includes virtual machines, beta operating systems, VPNs, corporate/public networks and unauthorized connected devices. Use a quiet private room, remain alone, clear the desk except permitted items, and present valid government photo ID exactly matching the booking. Begin check-in 30 minutes early for technology, ID and 360-degree room checks. Digital whiteboard is allowed; physical writing materials are not. Follow all current program-specific allowances and approved accommodations.
Prerequisite Skills
["Navigate the Revit interface.","View and navigate a Revit model.","Understand the concept of structural 3D modeling.","Create and modify basic 3D elements, annotations, and views.","Demonstrate basic digital literacy skills."]
