Initial by examination
ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) exam
Applicability
Current official certification materials and the linked 2022 CSSBB BoK support this initial route at the fixed evaluation date. The selected future testing window is a registration fact, not a new examination version or an official effective date. No official start or end date for the credential, route or current BoK version is stated in these materials, so boundaries remain null.
Application
Submit an application; ASQ/ASQE approval precedes the eligibility email and scheduling with Prometric. The selected CBT testing window is January 1–31, 2027, with application deadline December 7, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. US CST. January 1–24 is the intersection with the requested interval; no claim of an available individual appointment is made.
Eligibility
Two completed projects with signed affidavits OR one completed project with a signed affidavit and three years of work experience in one or more areas of the Six Sigma Body of Knowledge. Work experience must be in a full-time paid role. Green Belt certification is not required; no other belt exam leaf is introduced.
